This is going to be a pretty open RP right now, at least until we decide on a direction.
Anyone who is not naturally born of advent, will want to explain how they got here. All characters are welcome to play along.
But this is where our story starts, in Midgar. Some force for unknown reasoning has brought those not of this world here. Now the ultimate goal is to get those who don't belong, back to their own homes.

What am I doing here? One moment he was sitting safe in the Quad after a training session, and the next he found himself in the middle of the most industrial city he had ever seen.
A large racket passed him that nearly caused him to stumble into the road, which was far more busy than in balamb. Looking up he saw a large transport passing by. "A train...?" Much bigger and louder than any he had ever been on, but it was still clearly a train.
Noticing people staring at him he looked down at himself. He was wearing his combat uniform. Looking at the stuff everyone else had on, he must have looked strange. Quickly leaving the street and heading towards a cafe, he found himself marvelling at the city around him. So many people. So much pollution.
Another train passed by but Akira found himself too lost in thought even hear it.
What am I doing here...?

Ugh. Zidane rubbed his head, barely comprehending there was no blood to worry about. Dimly, somewhere in his mind, he realized he was on concrete. Ugh....clothes...Of course, how dirty his clothes would be would be his first thoughts. What a wonderful dream I was having, too. He had been right there, right there. A few inches from the delicate lips of Dagger's mouth, full and ready to be kissed, and then WHAM. Putting a hand down, he titter-tottered his way up and about, blinking numerous times while still rubbing his head.
That's it...Eiko.....can not experiment on me again...especially near the Iifa tree.... Opening his eyes fully, he saw many a-person walking about. Something went by...something on four wheels.....Mist...powered? Zidane thought, catching sight of the smoke it left behind. Slowly shaking his head, Zidane dusted himself off, his elbow rudely thrust aside by a man. The man grunted, as if it was Zidane's fault, but continued walking. "Where....?"
Staring up at the sky before walking, Zidane couldn't help but notice how polluted the place looked. His feet took him into the stream of the crowd, and Zidane was forced to bring his attention down to....well, wherever he was. Breaking free of the crowd, Zidane looked around, then up. A sign. ....Cafe? Zidane put his fingers to his lips, wrapping his tail around his middle unconsciously. ...Can't hurt to check...

Akira was brought out of his thoughts as the bell at the entrance of the cafe rang and a man walked in. He looks as out of place as I must. Staring at his waist he saw a tail wrapped around the man. On second thoughts he must look more out of place than I must. Wonder where he's from.
Breaking out from his thoughts once again he looked up at a passing train. I'll never get used to those things.

Rinoa clasped a hand to her head as she slowly regained conciousness. Her head throbbed and she squinted trying to open her eyes. As she slowly worked the courage to open her eyes, she notcied she was leaning against the wall of a filthy alley. Slowly getting to her feet, she coughed when trying to take a deep breath, even the air was hard to breath. She slowly walked out from the alley into what appeared to be the main center.
"Where am I?" she spoke softly as the bustle of people went from here to there. She looked around, "Squall, where are you?" She tried not to panic, but she was scared, and alone.

Amongst the crowd a soft but firm hand reached out to touch Rinoa's arm. "Excuse me.." The brunnette began, "Have you seen a guy come around here.. " She smiled when she saw the girls face. "hmm..." She stood on her toes a little and raised her hand to indicate height. "about this tall.." she continued, "- chocobo colored hair - spiky.." Tifa frowned as she could read 'worry' all over girl's face. Tifa slipped on her black glove ready to fight. "Oh I see..... There's a Midgar letch on your tail - is that right?" Tifa looked around to find the sucker that was doing the harassing. She was far too familiar with the many perverts of Midgar.

Rinoa glooked at the girl in confusion, "Um....Midgar?" She glanced around, "Is that where I am at?" She was almost seemed frightened, she had no clue where she was and she was alone.

Tifa was shocked - but she tried not to let it show. She didn't want to seem rude. Still, it was rare to find someone who didn't know about the great city of Midgar.. and even more peculiar.. to be lost in Midgar and not have a clue. Tifa shook off the frown that had formed from her own confusion.
"My name .. is Tifa Lockhart." She set her now gloved hands over her hips. "So.. there really isn't a letch bothering you.. that's a relief. Well.." She began confidently. "If being lost.. is your only problem, you're in luck! I used to be a tour guide back in my hometown when I was a teenager.. I'll help you out!"

Rinoa smiled, "I'm Rinoa Heartilly. I wouldn't mind a tour, but I don't want to burden you. You mentioned you were lookingfor someone?" She sighed, glancing around again, hoping Squall landed here as well. Then she might be able to find him.

"Nice to meet you, Rinoa.." Tifa replied with a nod. She looked down as her companion in the city tugged at her leather skirt. "It seems we both have lost someone," Tifa suggested. She could tell in the look of Rinoa's eyes. Tifa bent down to talk to the little girl who had hurried up to her side. ".. Ah.. Marlene.."
"Tifa! The man said it costs 200 gil for one potion" Marlene chimed with her small hands still gripped over the hem of Tifa's skirt.
"200? You'd think the rationing period would be over by now.."
"Rationing?..." Marlene let go and looked to Rinoa.
"Mm.." Tifa stood up.. "We're running low on gil.. I guess everyone needs to ration what they have. Its okay, we can manage without for a while." Tifa smiled. "We have plenty materia thanks to Yuffie!" Tifa looked to Marlene.
"Marlene, this is Rinoa"

"Did somebody say materia?" Yuffie jumped down from a tall building landing a double front flip in front of Tifa. She shook her head from sickness, then gazed up at Tifa. "What's up?" Her eyes moved down to the girl beside her. "What's down?" She smirked. Finally her eyes made their way to the stranger. "What's this?" Her head tilted up slightly. She stood her ground. She made herself look tough. Not to be rude or obnoxious, but to not let the enemy know fear of their opponent. If she was one. Lately, many unwelcome guests have mysteriously made their way to this world. Some good, but some also bad.

Sitting inside the cafe' Akira looked outside once again. Hey wait... she looks familiar Akira thought to himself as he saw Rinoa. Had he seen her around Garden? She might know the way back their. Getting out of his seat Akira headed outside towards Rinoa.
He asked her as soon as she was within range "Are you from Garden?" He hoped she was, as she may know the way out of this place.

"Midgar... Never heard of it." He then turned to Yuffie. "Is that in Galbadia or something." He knew there were a lot of towns in Galbadia, but he never imagined anything this big.
